Mangaluru : Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D.V. Sadananda Gowda said on Monday that the Bill sent by the State government to permit Kambala in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts would be sent to the President for his assent in a couple of days.
Speaking to presspersons here, Mr. Sadananda Gowda said that the clearance for the Bill was in the final stages at the Centre. It had to be cleared by the departments of Home, Law, Environment and Culture, before it was sent to the President for his assent.
The President would be briefed about the Bill within a week, he said.
