Mumbai : Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital after he suffers from a heart attack while driving.
Kambli broke into the cricketing scene with a world record partnership with his childhood buddy Sachin Tendulkar representing Sharadashram school. Kambli had has played 17 Tests and 104 ODIs for India.
Kambli who would turn 42 in next January had suffered from heart problems earlier as well. He has undergone angioplasty last year.
Kambli was often criticised for his extravagant lifestyle, and had been dropped from the national team as much as in nine occassions. He retired in 2009 after failing to make a comeback to the national team.
