Mangalore, August 30: Kannada Book Authority, Bangalore will organize two days ‘State level Youth Writers Convention’ at Mangalore’s Town Hall at the end of September, said Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, member convener of Kannada Book Authority.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Conference Hall of DC Office on August 30, Monday. He alsio said that, the event will be held in order to introduce Kannada literature in younger generation and encourage them to enrich the number of writers in agricultural literature.
This convention is applicable for the participation of the writers between the age group of 18 to 35 years. Around 2 to 3 writers from one district will be allowed for the participation and they must have at least one of their books published. Along with it they are required to give personal details, birth certificate and a copy of published book or article to administrator of Kannada Book Authority, Kannada Bhavan, JC Road, Bangalore 560002 or to Kalkura Prathistan located at MG Road Kodialbail.
Around 200 people from all over the state can participate in the event and the authority will provide accommodation, food and also bare the travel allowance of the participant. The event will also organize book exhibition and sale on the occasion, he said.
