Kannada version of Tafheem-ul-Quran released

Quran Mangalore:  Taltaje Vasanth Kumar, former professor in Mumbai University, released the first volume of the Kannada version‘ Tafheem-ul-Quran’ at a function held at the Town Hall in Mangalore on July 6, Friday. This is the first of the six volumes.

Dr Sayyed Akheel Ahmed, Dean of Science and Technology Department, Mysore University, who also spoke, said Quran has a solution for every problem in our life.

Dr Muhammad Saad Belagami, General Secretary of Jamath-e-Islami Karnataka, presided over the function. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President and BS Sharafuddeen, Guest Lecturer of Kuwait-IGNOU Centre, was among others present on the occasion.

The Tafheem-ul-Quran is a work of Abul Ala Maududi who spent as long as three decades to complete this work in 1972.
