Mangalore : Karavali Kennel Club displayed every breed of dog at the dog show held at Kadri Park on October 30, Sunday.
Over 250 dog owners arrived to the park with their pets in the event.
District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar inaugurated the show and said that dog shows is an opportunity given to the pet lovers to showcase their dogs.
T. Subbayya Shetty, the president of the Karavali Kennel Club, B. Nagaraj Shetty, the former minister, Seetharam, Dr. Ashok Kumar, and others were the dignitaries on the dais.
A reward of Rs. 30,000 will be given to the best dog of the show while the second and third runner up dogs will receive the prizes of Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 10,000, respectively.
The award for the best male and the best female puppies will receive the prize of Rs 5000 each.
Apart from the best adult dog and best puppy of each of the 25 breeds will be rewarded with certificates.
The breeds of dogs such as golden retriever, Doberman, Labrador, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Pug, Boxer, Mudhol Hound, Saint Bernard, Beagle, J. R. Terrier, Napoleon Mastiff, Pomeranian, and Shields participated in the dog show.
