Mangaluru: Karkala MLA V. Sunil Kumar has been booked for “making inflammatory speech” at a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kalladka near Bantwal on Monday evening.

In the meeting, Mr. Sunil Kumar reportedly told people that the ensuing election in Bantwal Assembly constituency will be a fight between Allah and Ram and not between B. Ramanath Rai and Rajesh Naik. People have to choose between the person loving Allah (Mr. Rai) and the one loving Ram (Mr. Naik), Mr. Kumar said in his speech.

On a complaint by Bantwal Yuva Congress president Prashant Kulal, the Bantwal Town Police have registered a case under Sections 153 (A) and 505 (2) of the Indian Penal Code.
