Bengaluru: State wide strike called by various organisations has been partially succeeded. Though some of the areas are affected much by the strike, north Karnataka districts are on fire due to the SC’s order on Cauvery dispute.
Nearly 950 organisations including Karnataka’s Tamil organisations, IT Companies, the government’s associate organisations have backed the bundh.
KSRTC and private buses, auto rickshaws, maxi cabs, taxi owners and drivers, aided and non aided schools, farmers and labours associations, lawyers associations, hotel owners association and such many associations have supported the bundh.
As a precautionary measure the government have declared holiday for schools and colleges. Because most of the transport carriages will not be available on Friday.
Many cable operators have decided not to provide Tamil channels on Friday. Shopping malls will be closed from morning 6 to evening 6.
None of the banking unions have taken part in the bundh. So there will not be any problem in banking services.
