Bengaluru: Eight new cases of coronavirus has been confirmed in the state taking tally of infected persons to 701 in Karnataka, the health department said in its mid-day bulletin.

Three new cases each have been reported from Davangere and Kalaburagi and one case each from Belagavi and Bengaluru.

Meanwhile the coronavirus casualty in the state rose to 30 with the death of a 55-year-old female (patient 694) from Davangere.

India has started clinical trials of Ayush medicines even as Coronavirus cases in the country have crossed 52,000-mark even. The COVID-19 related death count is set to touch 1800-mark, as per the latest data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. As per the latest data of the Government, there are 52,952 cases, 15266 cured and 1783 dead while one patient was migrated.
