Mangalore: It is a historical book in a unique style of 41 poems on the history of Karnataka, chromicling certain important milestones in a long 2000 years past.
The book written by a retired College teacher, in 62 pages, marks the history from 2nd century BC upto 1956, when Kannada areas were Unified.
Pradeep K. Kalkura of KSP unveiled the writings of Prof. B.M. Ichlangod, at the Press Club in Mangalore on Wednesday, July 27. Kalkura said the narration was in the old from ‘Ragale’ in Kannada literature, and could be read by college students easily.
The writer thanked all those who had encouraged him to write the poems, to kindle fresh interest in literary reading him to write the poems, to kindle fresh interest in literary reading in coastal region in Kannada.
