In her tweet, Menaka Gandhi said “I am worried about how the Karnataka government is totally ignoring women safety in the city. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy should pay attention to this critical issue,”
On Tuesday, a woman who was travelling in was harassed by the driver for not paying attention to his request to cancel the trip.
“This is the third instance of harassment of a lady passenger by a taxi driver in Bengaluru, within a month. My directions to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner to invoke criminal risk of taxi aggregators like Olacabs and Uber has had no impact,” she wrote.
