Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court issued a temporary stay order of 4 weeks against enquiry proposed against former CM and MP, N.Dharam Singh regard to permission allegedly given by him for illegal (iron ore) mining extensively in 2002 in state. The MP had sought cancellation of FIR issued by Lokayukta police for enquiry proceedings against him.
His petition found favour with state High Court this week, giving Small relief. The complaint against Dharam had come from (lawyer) Abraham.
Similary, state speaker K.G. Bopaiah also got a stay order for 4 weeks in an irregularity relating to RH lake public works. Enquiry was sought by Likayukta special court.
