Mangalore : Dr VVN D’Souza, Associate Dean of KMC inaugurated the five-day Karnataka cluster level workshop on ‘Development of Scientific Temper and Demystification of Miracles’ which began at ISD Hall here on September 23, Monday. The workshop is being held jointly by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and district unit of Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat.
JR Lobo, MLA who was the chief guest, emphasized the importance of developing scientific temperament and shunning superstitious beliefs.
Prof. Narendra Nayak, President, Federation of Indian Rationalists Association also spoke on the occasion. Several delegates from 12 districts of Karnataka are taking part.
Kadamajalu Subhash Rai, President, Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat, Renni D’Souza, Treasurer, Anantaram Herala, Secretary, Dr Madhav Rao and others were present on the occasion.
