Mangalore: C. Manjula of the Karnataka State Women’s Commission, visited to conduct inspection at Morning Mist Home Stay and condemned the attack on students on on Aug 1, Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that such incidents are repeatedly taking place in the city and this may take place because of the misguidance of some youths towards such attacks.
She said that it is necessary to collect the details of all the arrested men so that they can go through the roots to find the reason and person behind the attack.
The commission gives importance to the protection of women, hence preventing such incident in future is more important than taking action and punishing the culprits.
After the attack the law will take its own course but preventing it is important.
Further she would meet the vice chancellor of Mangalore University and representatives from colleges and discuss the measures to protect girl students in city.
