Bengaluru : In a respite to the family of Union Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, the family court in Bengaluru has dismissed a petition filed by an actor to regularise her marriage with the Minister’s son, Karthik Gowda.
Dismissing the petition, the judge said that the petitioner had not provided the required document as per the Hindu Marriage Act, to regularise her wedding.
A mere photograph cannot be taken as evidence, the judge said, adding that there is no evidence to prove that they had got married as per the customs. “We are not going to challenge this but our focus would be on the criminal case,” said Akarsh Kanade, counsel for the actor.
Meanwhile, in the case of alleged rape filed by the actor against Karthik Gowda, the police are awaiting medical reports and voice test reports.
