Mumbai: The Bombay High Court would hear on a day to day basis from Oct.18, regarding confirmation of death penalty given to the lone surviving terrorist Ajmal Kasab for his role in 26/11 killings of innocent persons in Mumbai.
No other case would be taken up until this matter was finally heard and disposed of, according to Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice R.V. More who are looking into the case. They want to finish off this case early, and have asked for lawyers’ co-operation. All appeals will be heard one by one before BHC gives its final decision.
The BHC did not want Kasab’s presence in the court, but he could appear through a video conference, his lawyer was told. The Court asked the state (of Maharashtra) to make necessary arrangements duly.
