Kasaragod: Kerala police have taken a 27 year old lady into their custody who is residing at Chandera police station area limits in Kasaragod district of Kerala state on Friday as her Uttara Pradesh (UP) based husband has suspected links with international terror organisation Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The UP resident who was indulged in street vending at Ernakulam and was married to the lady residing in Chandera police station area limits with the help of a marriage broker. The intelligence bureau had provided information to the police on the UP resident for having suspected links with ISIS. Following, the information from intelligence bureau, Kerala police had kept a close eye on the suspect in Ernakulam. However, some days earlier the suspect was disappeared from Ernakulam and police found that the person is in Chandera after tracing his cell phone number.
Following this, a police team arrived from Aluva arrived at Chandera to interrogate the suspect. The suspect was narrowly escaped from Chandera before the arrival of the police. Following his escape, his wife has been taken into custody by the police and investigation is on to nab the suspect. The police have also searching for the broker who helped the suspect to marry the girl and he is also has suspected connection with ISIS.
