Kasargod : Two teenagers who went to swim in a pond have met a watery grave at Uduma on August 8, Saturday.

It is said, Sumodh and Akshay are 16 years old. The boys who came to play in a nearby area decided to swim in the pond for some time and soon they began to drown. On hearing their boys screams, the nearby residents rushed to the area and reach the pond,could not save the boys because the pond was much deeper than it was thought of.

The fire service personnel had to be informed, who later retrieved the bodies and the post-mortem was done at Government Hospital.

The Bekal Police registered a case.
