Kasargod : The Kasargod cops have apprehended two persons who were smuggling ganja weighing 64 kgs in a hidden compartment in their Qualis vehicle.

The arrested persons are Ernakulam Palerivatta resident Sunil David (34) and Idukki resident M G Murali (42), the police nabbed the two near Press Club Junction based on a tip off.

It was only after a thorough search of the car that the police found the drugs hidden in the compartment. The police are presently searching for the main accused in the case.

It is learnt the two were middlemen and worked for some one else  at Thodupuzha.The raid was conducted under the leadership of Kasargod DySP Mohanchandran.
