Kasargod:  Kasargod police have arrested a three-member gang of inter-state  thieves and have recovered nearly 56 sovereigns of gold apart from cash worth several lakhs of rupees from them on October 30, Tuesday.

Those arrested are Abdul Rahmal of Shiribagilu, Rabdeen Salim of Thiruvalloor and Abdul Rehman of Chowki. This was informed by SP S Surendran. The SP said search is on for two more members of the same gang.

The arrested were wanted in connection with several theft cases including the theft in a house at Melparamba and looting of a co-operative bank at Neerchal after murdering the watchman.
