Mangalore: The devotees will be allowed to visit the historic Kateelu Sri durga Parameshwari Temple from Sunday, June 14.
As an innovative experiment in the state, devotees who wish to visit the temple must book an entry through the e-ticket from the temple’s website (http://www.kateeldevi.in/).
The government has suggested a number of regulations, including sanitizer use and social distance.
A white box has already been placed on the temple premises to maintain social distance. Devotees are allowed from 7.30 am to 7.30 pm. The temple’s managing commitee has said that, local devotees do not need an e-pass. In addition, locals are allowed to visit from 6 am to 6 pm. There is no system of tirtha or prasadas in the temple at present.
After thermal screening devotees allowed to enter temple in-line, so that an e-ticket system is in place so that there is no shortage of space. Sixty people will be arranged for darshan every 15 minutes, the managing commitee said.
