Bangalore : Former Karnataka Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu today moved yet another bail application in the High Court on health ground.
Earlier, the Special Lokayukta trying Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) land scam against Mr Katta had rejected the bail but permitted him to undergo treatment for cancer in any hospital of his choice in India under police security in mufti.
Mr Katta in his new bail petition had stated that since he was suffering from cancer he might have to undergo treatment in the hospital and rest in the house and hence bail might be granted.
The petition was yet to come up for hearing.
Mr Katta, his son and Corporator Jagadish Katta and Itsaco Managing Director Srinivasa, who was accused of cheating the public to the tune of over Rs 93 crore, were under judicial custody. However, Mr Katta was under medical treatment at Victoria Hospital.
