Kaup : Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon has said that  the BJP was confident of winning the next elections in Kaup. He also claimed that  Kaup has witnessed unprecedented development since the past 10 years and claimed no other MLA has been able to help Kaup to such an extent. Lalaji was addressing a booth level party workers convention held atNityananda Bhavan at Katapady on April 2, Tuesday under the aegis of the Kaup BJP Shakti Kendra.

He said there has been no politics in developmental programmes in Kaup and added  works have been initiated through Suvarna Grama Yojana in at least 13 to 15 GPs in Kaup. Katapady Shanker Poojari, former president of Udupi ZP, who was the chief guest, called upon the workers to work unitedly for the party’s victory.

Naveen Shetty Kutyar, Kaup BJP Chief, presided over the function. Udupi district BJP President Udaykumar Shetty, Udupi ZP Chief Upendra Nayak, ZP member Geetanjali Suvarna, TP members Devadas Hebbar, Kavitha Mendon and others were present.
