Mangaluru : A five-year-old girl hailing from Gujarat, who was allegedly kidnapped by her maid, was found to be in Mangaluru on Monday morning, said on police sources on Wednesday.
The said Kinjal was kidnapped by her maid Rekha alias Shahnaz, 26, on October 14 from her residence in Maninagar. Kinjal’s father is a social activist while her mother is a housewife. He said Rekha was employed at the house for the last one year.

As per complaint lodged at Maninagar police station in Ahmedabad, police traced the kidnapper mobile location at Survey No 43/11 PVC Complex, Padukodi in Kavoor on Monday at 11am. Based on the information provided by the Gujarat Police, police attached to the Kavoor station rushed to the spot and held investigations. However, they could obtain any leads. By then, Rekha’s mobile number had been switched off.
Earlier to Kavoor, kidnapper mobile number was traced in Frazer Town and earlier at Sindagi in Vijayapura.
The police have asked the public to contact Kavoor police station at 0824 2220533 or inspector Jadeja at 9879324147 on spotting the victim and the accused. The police have announced a cash reward of Rs 10,000 to the one who helps them crack the case.
