Mangalore : The Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) organized an information meeting to discuss investment opportunity related to the Global Investors’ Meet to be held on June 7 – 8, 2012.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. D. S.Vishwanath, the managing director of KSSIDC Limited, said that the Global Investors’ Meet will highlight on facilitating investors encouraging local entrepreneurs.
Speaking on the consideration opportunity for the entrepreneurs, he said that four major areas such as manufacturing, marketing, networking, and research and development will have to be addressed and Mangalore is one among other six places, identified for investment in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprisers (MSME) sector.
He said that, in city small scale industries are playing a major role and this should be taken advantage at the time of investment dealing.
Aravind Apparels and Udyoga Mithra of the Government of Karnataka signed an expression of interest (EoI) for a project worth Rs. 50 crore.
KCCI president Latha R. Kini District Industries Centre joint director S. G. Hegde, Byre Gowda of Karnataka Udyoga Mitra, KCCI secretary Ram Mohan Pai Maroor and others were also present.
