By Ishwar M. Ail : Mumbai : Under the leadership of Kalyan – Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) President – A Ward Committee Shiva Sena Corporator – Ward 13 Dayashankar P. Shetty, several thousands of poor and needy people of Kalyan – Dombivali area are receiving helps since the beginning of lockdown. Dayashankar P. Shetty, extended his sincere thanks to the donors and others who extended their help during this hard time. To provide Ready-to-eat meals, they have set up Central Community Kitchen distributing 1000 ready to eat meals for coming days.

Shiva Sena Corporator Dayashankar P. Shetty and his team have been working during lock down maintaining social distancing while performing the distribution.

Distributed more than 17000 of Face masks, distributed more than 1800 food grain packets containing Rice, Atta / Wheat, Dal and Oil. Till 27th April they have successfully distributed more than 4000 kgs of wheat / wheat flour, 4000 kgs. of rice, 2000 kgs of dal and 2000 litres of sunflower oil and ongoing process and distribution is still going on.

The team procured and sprayed around 6000 litres FDA approved 3% Hydrogen Peroxide disinfectant. Used KDMC spraying machines for spraying and also purchased a couple of machines and hired trained persons to spray this disinfectant.
