Mangalore : Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi opposes the decision of Vice Chancellor Prof T C Shivashankarmurthy of Mangalore University for suspending three office bearers of Mangalore University Non Teaching staffs union.

Addressing at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands Hall on July 23, Tuesday KDSS state union convener M Devdas said that VC has suspended Govinda Matti, Vijayraj H and Ravi Prakash for interrupting the infrastructural work of 400 meter track in the site reserved for the construction of quarters for the non teaching staffs.

He also said that the KDSS district Unit had even met VC and submitted the memorandum on May 23, 2012 stating construction of track taking place in the wrong site, but VC had not respond for their request and instead sent a show cause notice to them and suspended the three on June 4, 2012. This has made the workers and family suffer. Hence Vice Chancellor and chancellor must cancel their suspension order without delay.
