New Delhi: RTI activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal is expected to make another big expose on Tuesday. However, Kejriwal-the National Convener of the Aam Admi Party- has not thrown any indications on who will be his target this time or what will be the nature of the revelation.
Kejriwal had earlier targeted UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, BJP chief Nitin Gadkari and industrialist Mukesh Ambani.
In his previous expose, Kejriwal slammed the government for neglecting the NSG commandos, who played a crucial role in countering the terrorists on 26/11 and were leading a miserable life.
Kejriwal further alleged that some of them were sacked without pensions and denied medical benefits.
To drive his point home, Kejriwal also presented a NSG commando, who fought terrorists during the 26/11 terror attacks, saying the soldiers are still fighting for their rights.
NSG commando Surendra Singh complained that the government did not do its duty towards them. “I became unfit after 26/11 but the government is not bearing the cost of my medical expenses. I even tried taking help through RTI. I was told that NSG will not reply to RTI as it does not come under RTI. I wanted to know the criteria and eligibility of NSG commandos in my RTI. I wanted to know about foreign donations that were sent to help us. My request was rejected,” he told reporters.
It would be interesting to see whether Kejriwal’s fresh expose will be able to generate the same heat as his previous revelations against high-profile politicians and industry tycoons.
