Kasargod : A Kerala-Karnataka border security meeting was held at Delampady recently to discuss the menace of Naxals, smuggling and the ways to curtail them. Officials of the Departments of Police, Forest, Excise and Intelligence participated in the meeting.
Police officials of Adoor, Vellarikuntu, Chimeni, Bedadka, Chittarikal and Gram Panchayat officials attended the meeting.It was decided to request the public to inform the Police Department if any strangers were noticed lurking suspiciously.
The meeting was inaugurated by District Superintendent of Police S Surendran. K Ashif, Kasargod Forest Officer, KK Aji, DySP , AS Achyutan, DCF of Karnataka Forest Department, Pradeep, Shashi, Subbaiah, Sridhar, forest officials, E Chandrashekharan, Delampady Panchayat Vice President and others were present on the occasion.
