Manjeshwar: The Kerala police arrested a youth and seized 22 kilogram ganja after a raid on Thuminadu quarters near Manjeshwar town on Thursday. The arrested youth has been identified as Abubakker Siddique (21), a native of Hosabettu. The police yet arrest two other accused who involved in the ganja case.

The accused informed the police that the ganja was brought from Vishakapatnam of Andhra Pradesh to sold it in Mangaluru, Kasaragod, Uppala and other areas. The youth and his two companions brought 30 kilogram ganja from Vishakapatnam on August 12 and 8 kilogram ganja has already been sold to the customers through agents. The accused purchased a kilogram ganja at Rs 5,000 and the same material was sold at Rs 50,000 per kilogram in Mangaluru and other areas of coastal region.
