Mangalore :  A kerosene oil pilferage racket has been busted  by the Mangalore Rural police near Arkula. A tanker and kerosene oil worth Rs 15 lakh has been seized on October 15, Monday night. The tanker driver Kamalaksha of Uppinangady,  Vijay, tanker cleaner and one Vijaykumar of Arkula  who was planning to purchase kerosene, have been arrested.

According to reports they  had pilfered 12000 liters of kerosene oil from a the tanker  and had  even a stock of 10,000 litres of kerosene. The raid followed a tip off
