Mangalore : The tulunad’s local and famous sports ‘Tulunadu Kesarugadde Kreedotsava’, was held near Shri Jnanashakti Subramanya swami temple, at Pavanje, Haleyangadi on July 18, Sunday.

Advocate and Vice President of the Tulunadu Kesarugadde Kreedotsava PP Hegde inaugurated the event and said that the attempt has been made to protect the local tulunad culture through these sports.

He also said that, participating in these events and playing in mud will have the medical benefits for a human body and avoid going for mud therapy in clinics.

Mayor Rajani Dugganna, said that the association has arranged such an event for the kids and people of the city, who just enjoy it by watching television.
Around 300 people participated in the sports categories like tug of war, mud wrestling, sprint and other sports. Participants were served with traditional food.
