Bengaluru : The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) and film workers union thanked CM BS Yediyurappa for announcing a financial aid for this sector. KFCC honorary secretary NM Suresh said, “Many of the film workers were in dire straits due to the lockdown. On behalf of the film industry, I thank the CM for the financial aid.”

Recently, a memorandum was submitted to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to announce financial aid for those associated with the film industry. KFCC Honorary secretary NM Suresh, former KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu and Forest Development Corporation chairperson Tara Anuradha had met the CM and pressed for the package. Mr Suresh said, “There are 18,000 people who are associated with the film industry and are currently out of work due to Covid restrictions.”
