Mangalore : UT Khader, Karnataka Minister for Health and Family Welfare has said that the government will not revoke its orders banning Gutka in the State.
Khader who spoke to reporters while participating in a private function, said the government is firm on its decision which is taken in the best interests of the health of the people.
There is no question of bowing to pressure, the Minister said adding the government is firmly committed to implement the ban,
He also was of the view that the number of cases of cancer can be reduced by banning Gutka as many people are addicted to the substance.
