Bangalore: The Karnataka High Court on appeal, has upheld the Life Sentence of punishment awarded to accused woman N. Shubha and her accomplices in the Girish murder case by a Fast Track Court. The murdered person was a software engineer working for Intel.
N. Shubha, the convict, argued in vain that she was innocent and did not conspire to kill Girish, her would-be husband. A bench of 2 Judges rejected her arguments. The Bench said that the convicted persons deserved the punishment for their conspiracy, Shubha’s Lover Arun Varma also will serve a life sentence in a gang of 4.
Shubha was engaged to (deceased) Girish as on 30-11-2003. But Shubha conspired with 3 others to kill him on 03-12-2003. She was trapped by city police through phone calls and SMS talk made by her.
