Mangalore : Dinky Ice Cream in association with JCI organized the 21st Dinky Ice Cream eating competition for the children between 5 to 12 years at Kadri Park on May 4, Sunday.

During the competition, the organizers made as many as 10 children to eat ice cream in each round. The children had to finish the small “Ice Cream Tower” made by three layers of vanilla, pista and strawberry flavoured ice-creams.

Speaking on the occasion, Swarna Sunder of Dinky Ice Cream said the ice cream tower was specially made for the competition, which was melting slowly by cooling down to -27 degrees Celsius.

One of the contestants, Seven-year-old Ifza Siddiq who came along with her nine cousins from Krishnapura, was eagerly waiting for their turn to gulp down ice creams. She said that eating ice cream has been done every week in the house during holidays.

The children who failed to complete their competition were allowed to take their plates to their parents and relatives and eat it. The organizers also arranged separate ice cream eating competition for select homemakers.
