Bangalore : Fire broke out in a godown belonging to Kingfisher airlines on Friday, 12th April. The godown, situated near Bangalore International Airport in Devenahalli was gutted in the fire mishap.
Materials worth crores of rupees and spare parts of planes were destroyed in the fire accsident.
Fire brigades arrived at the spot and began dousing the fire.
Devenahalli police also arrived at the spot and have registered a case regarding the incident.
It is suspected that a short circuit may be the reason for the incident. Usually the Godown belonging to any airline company will have the smoke detectors to sense any fire or smoke emanating in the premises as a precautionary measure.
Strangely, in this case the godown belonging to Kingfisher airlines had no smoke detector, sources said.
No casualties are reported in the fire accident. Investigations are on.
