Mangalore : Members of DK Karnataka Janatha Party (KJP) led by Ramachandra Baikampady and Ravindra Shetty held a rally on Monday in front of DCO in city to protest against the partiality being practiced by the congress government in regard to “Shaadi Bhaagya” scheme brought into practice in fever of poor Muslim marriageable girls in recent days. The speakers pointed out that when Yeddyurappa ruled has the Chief Minister several schemes such as Bhagya Lakshmi were extended to all communities irrespective of religion. But The “Shaadi Bhaagya” scheme appeared to be a trick to collect Muslim votes in the name of young girls waiting for marriages.
They disapproved of the congress habit of making a vote bank of minority community such as Muslims, to win elections after elections.
The protest rally ended without any communication to the ruling congress government.
