Mangalore : Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike condemns the ‘Khadga Diksha’ programme to be held on October 25.
Addressing the media at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on September 24, Tuesday KKSV District President Suresh Bhat Bakrabail said that Swami Pranavananda, state executive president of the All India Hindu Mahasabha had announced to hold ‘Khadga Diksha’ state wide programme in city onon Oct 25 and distribute swords to 5000 young men in Mangalore with a pledge to protect the Hindu Dharma, women and cows.
He also said that the possession of lethal weapons for holy or unholy purposes by individuals or groups is forbidden by the law of the land.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has recently issued a circular to all states warning them of the possibility of communal riots in the near future. The DK District which is already notorious for its unending series of communal incidents which have tarnished its image both nationally and internationally, hence the state government must take legal action against organizers of the programme, he urged.
