Mangalore : The Konaje police have successfully nabbed a thief for stealing the Microphone from various mosques on October 21, Thursday.
The accused has been identified as Farooq alias Ummar Farooq (20), son of Hussainer and a resident of Sundari Bhag Ullal. Accused Farooq has stolen microphones from various mosques located at Mangalore City and in and around Dakshina Kannada district.
Each microphone costs around Rs one lakh. The police have also seized around 34 microphones.

The police officials like Konaje police officials like Sunil B Patel, ASI Raghavan Nair, and staffs like Chandrashekar N, Bhaskar, Rohit Kumar, Rajesh, Annappa, Suresh Gowda, U R D’Souza and Umesh conducted the operation under the guidance of Putta Maddayya, Assistant Police Commissioner of Panambur sub division and leadership of Lingappa Poojary, Inspector of  Mangalore Rural.
