Mangaluru : The Konaje police rescued two cows from the pickup vehicle  at Hoohakuvakallu Cross near Mudipu Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya on Thursday.

The police acted on definite information from Bajrang Dal on the morning of Thursday September 16 stopped the pickup vehicle which transporting the two cows to an illegal slaughterhouse at Marikala in Naringana Villaage of Bantwal Taluk.

The pickup vehicle that was transporting the two cows without proper documents. Police took  two men into custody who were in the pickup. It is said that the accused gave excuse to the police that these cows were purchased by a local agriculturist and they were transporting the same to be delivered to the agriculturist.

It is said, everyday cows are being taken to Marikala illegal slaughterhouse near Montepadavu High School in Naringana Village by creating fake documents.
