Mangalore :  The Konkani Cultural Organisation, Abu Dhabi organized a scholarship distribution function at Milagres Senate Hall on August 11, Sunday. Nearly 171 students  received scholarship amount totaling to Rs 11.75 lakhs  in the function held with the co-operation of Samanvaya.

JR Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South, inaugurated the event. He called upon the students to make the best use of the financial aid provide to them and excel in academics.

Rohan Monteiro, MD of Rohan Corporation,  also spoke. Fr Ronald Cuntinho, Director of Samanvaya, said so far scholarships amounting to Rs 62 lakh has been distributed to 360 students.

 Leo, Founder of the Organization, Benette D’ Mello, its President, Valerian D’Almeida, Secretary, Members Leena D’Souza, Gerald D’Mello, Rupert Vaz, Donald D’Silva and others were present.
