Mangalore : The Konkani Film ‘Ujwadoo’ will be released in Mangalore’s Big Cinema on October 14, Friday, said Film Director Kasargod Chinna. He was speaking at the press meet held Woodlands Hall on October 8, Saturday, he said that around 95 artistes have acted in the film from Mangalore and Udupi.
Speaking about the film shooting, he said that the film has been shot in Mangalore and other place like Karkala, where one schedule of shooting has been completed in 18 days. The film comprises of four songs composed by Achyuthadasa and Jayanth Kaikini. The film highlighted the culture and tradition of Gowd Saraswath Brahmin community in the duration of one hour 53 minutes. The film is not commercial based, but only focuses on traditional heritage of community in Mangalore. I have not compromised with the quality of film, he added.
He also said that they have distributed around 4,000 song CD free of cost and will give 25,000 women so that it must reach to every house and Century Group has sponsored for 5,000 CD, he informed.
The film has been produced at the cost of Rs 45 lakhs and film got complete review without cutting any scene since it is a family oriented film, he said.
The film artistes like Shashibhushan Kini, Poornima Suresh, Manjunath Kudva, Sathish Nayak, Ramdas Prabhu and others were present.
