Mangalore : The Konkani film ‘Ujwaadu’ directed by Kasargod Chinna, the President of the Konkani Sahitya Academy, has been chosen to be screened at the International Film Festival tobe held at Bangalore from December 20 to 27.

The film under the banner Mitra Media Productions is in the language spoken by the GSB community of the region . It is the first Konkani film  to be screened at an international festival.

The film will be screened at the Leedo theatre in Bangalore on December 21 at  10.15 am in the presence  of several artistes and film technicians.

It has already been screened in theatres in Mangalore,  Udupi, Karkala and is set to be screened in Chennai Goa and Mumbai too.

The story and screen play of the film is also by Kasargod Chinna. The film has Shivadhwaj, Neethu, Sadashiv Brahmavar, Umashree and others in the main role.
