Mangalore :The Konkani translation of the Kannada novel “Tembare” authored by M. Veerappa Moily,  Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, was released at the World Konkani Centre  on November 11, Sunday.  Vishwa Konkani Sardar Basti Vaman Shenoy presided over the function.

Speaking on the occasion, Moily said  his book Tembare aimed at enlightening the world on the richness of Tulu culture and added though the book has won a number of awards, his real happiness was when people appreciate the book.

Ramesh Laad, who translated the book, and Venkatesh Baliga, secretary of the World Konkani Centre, Dr. Narendra Rai Derla  and others were present on the occasion.
