Udupi :  Kota Srinivas Poojari, MLC who is the only minister from undivided DK district, who has been inducted into the Jagadish Shettar cabinet on Thursday, has assured to work sincerely for the all round development of the district.

He says he has not even dreamt of being a minister so far and thanks the party leadership for thinking him to be the right choice. Fifty three year old Poojari hails from Kota and took oath in the name of Kota Shivaram Karanth, the towering litterateur hailing from his hometown.

A photographer by profession, Poojari has the experience of serving the three tiers of panchayatraj system right from Gram Panchayat to Zilla Panchayat as its member, prior to becoming the MLC. He was elected unopposed as MLC in 2010.

Married to Shantha, he has three children.
