Udupi : Two chain snatchers have been arrested by the Kota police.The arrested are Sachendra Hebbar  and Kishore Acharya.

The  two had reportedly snatched the chain of  an aged woman named Kalyani on August 31. The police had initially arrested Hebbar on suspicion. During interrogation, he admitted his guilt and also the name of his accomplice Acharya following which  the latter was arrested.

It is learnt the two had sold the chain to a financier in Mangalore for Rs 61,200.

Police have recovered Rs 30,000 cash and also the chain from the finance shop.

Investigations are in progress.
