Kundapur: In yet another alleged harassment from the senior officials’ case, Kota police Sub-Inspector Kabbal Raj resigned for his post, on Thursday.

He was known as a clean and efficient police officer in the district. It is alleged that harassment from the Udupi Superintendant of Police is the reason behind tendering resignation.

As per the sources, Kabbal Raj was targeted by the Udupi SP over a land dispute in Airodi grama panchayat limits. After these developments he has submitted his resignation.

Speaking to the reporters Udupi SP K T Balakrishna said that he was informed about the situation and no resignation has reached him yet.

“If there are any problems, then those problems will be sorted out by discussions,” he said.

Sources have also said that it is for the second time Kabbal Raj is tendering the resignation. Before this during Annamalai’s tenure as SP he had submitted the resignation, but things were sorted out after holding some discussions.
