Mangalore : BJP District president Padmanabha Kottary said that D K District Congress Committee (DKDCC) will organize 4-day padayatre from Sampaje to Mani from Nov 21, Sunday, instead they can conduct padayatre from Sampaje to Sakleshpur.
Speaking at the press meet held at District BJP office he said that the road leading towards Gundya to Sakleshpu via Shiradi Ghat hence it requires fully concretization and no congress leaders are taking any step to repair it.
He also said that CM Sadananda Gowda has directed the officials to immediately start the asphalting of the Gundya to Sakleshpur road and not wait for the Central Government to release the fund. He also said that the patch work has been done road to the road leading to Gundya is being done by Amey Road service and they have the contract of maintaining it for 3 years, but only patch work for the patholes has been done.
He urged the central government to repair all the National Highways immediately. The road leading to B C Road to Padil is still pending and MLA B Ramanath Rai is still not raising any issue on this.
The state government has completed the road repair work for 27 kilometers in the Bantwal taluk and Ramanath Rai itself is conducting the foundation laying ceremony and later complaining about state government for not doing the infrastructural work, he said.
He also said that the road leading to Kalladka to Kanhangad crack filling and asphalting has been done at the cost of 1.28 crore and by December end the repair will be completed. Most of the main road has been concretized and the sub road asphalting will start functioning from December.
He also said that the central government has not sanctioned the money for infrastructure under Gram Sadak Yojana for Karnataka state from two years.
BJP leaders like Raj Gopal Rai, KFDC president Nithin Kumar and Sanjeev Matandoor were present at the press meet.
