Bangalore: KPCC President G Parameshwar has said that the Congress would be embarking upon a Nadarakshana Yatra, a padayatra in November with an objective of returning to power in Karnataka.
This was informed by KPCC Chief G Parameshwar after the KPCC general body meeting held at Palace Grounds on September 26, Wednesday,.
He said the yatra will cover every assembly constituency of the state and aims at ousting the BJP government in the state. Several top leaders will take part in the yatra, he said.
On the Cauvery issue, he said a Congress delegation will be meeting the Prime Minister on the issue.
KPCC General body meeting : Several party leaders participated in the KPCC General body meeting held at the Palace Grounds.
The meet passed six resolutions including supporting the state government on Cauvery river dispute issue. In another resolution it has condemned the failure of BJP government in handling drought in the state. It was also decided to pressurize the government to take up irrigation projects to fully utilize Krishna river water.
