Mangaluru : The Karnataka Polytechnic Alumni Association has called a meeting of its members on December 27 as a prelude to observe its 75th anniversary celebrations scheduled in 2020.

Addressing media here on Friday, K. Abhayachandra Jain, Minister of State for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports, who is an alumnus of the polytechnic, said that a Rs. 2.7 crore estimate has been prepared for the repair of buildings on its premises and hostels. In that, the government has sanctioned Rs. 90 lakh for repairing hostel buildings. The main building would also have to be repaired.
